I AM: The Procession II 2020

Since our society continues to show that it doesn't value Black Women or our lives, we had to value ourselves in a way that took up space, allowed us to adorn ourselves, feel beautiful and blessed. No one else is doing it, so we had to.  This was a community art project in collaboration with Wa Na Wari that was a continuation of the original piece that took place in 2016. It is an ongoing series spanning across the US and internationally.
